After looking at the picture that 12-13 year old me asked mum:

Do you think that drug addiction is a symptom of larger societal ills? What is it about our culture that leaves so many feeling like they're inadequate, trying any ill to find a cure?

Me: You drank my whole can of juice and just handed with that straw to trick me.

This reminds me of a short tale once narrated by my mother!
